Secretary’s Message

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”. Jeremiah 29: 11

My dear friends in Christ Jesus!

It is a great pleasure for me to address from this platform.

Recalling the journey as Diocesan Secretary, I know all of you have much expectation and wanted to see the Diocese of Lucknow in its glorious past. The time when the responsibility was placed on my shoulder by Lord Jesus, it was the most difficult phase as it was the transits period. There was no stability, the congregations had lost her faith and integrity on the Diocesan Officers. But they had a hope that one day things will change and Lord Jesus will be in command.

The changes started when out of all difficulties and manmade obstacles, under the prayerful and dedicated leadership of Bishop Andrew B Rathod, Moderator’s Episcopal Commissary, Diocese of Lucknow (CNI), successfully conducted the 22nd Diocesan Council of the Diocese of Lucknow (CNI). This miracle happened due to the untiring prayers rendered by the dedicated prayer warriors. The chosen elected members of the standing committees are empowered with the Holy Spirit that they are able to take strong and right decisions in the direction of growth and stability.

Today, we are looking forward under the dynamic leadership of the Rt. Revd. Morris Edgar Dan, Bishop, Diocese of Lucknow (CNI), to involve every member of each congregation in the noble task of bridging the gap between the Church and Diocesan Office Bearers, as still there is long way to go. I firmly believe that every faithful is blessed with talent and when these talents are collectively used for the glory of God, then no evil force can stop us to grow in Lord Jesus.

I being the Diocesan Secretary, Diocese of Lucknow like to make you aware of the fact that everything is possible. Only we need to have the right and selfless intention rooted in Christ Jesus. As St. Paul beautifully says in Phil 4: 13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me’’.

God Bless you all!
Revd. Manish Gunjan Zaidi
Diocesan Secretary
Diocese of Lucknow (CNI) Prayagraj.
